Job Description

Masco Cabinetry is looking for an enthusiastic, agile Talent Manager which reports to the Director of Talent Management and Organizational Development, and is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.


This person must have the experience plus the passion to learn required to make an impact as a member of our talent team. The incumbent must possess the ability, experience and resourcefulness to support, grow and drive our talent initiatives. This individual must be self-driven and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with multiple stakeholders in order to drive the implementation of critical talent initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, improvement, and measurement of core Talent programs such as performance, development, career, acquisition and diversity & inclusion.
  • Manage the recruiting process including some recruiter responsibilities.
  • Design and customization of talent work products such as presentations, trainings, reports and job aids.
  • Assist with identified measurements of talent practices including analyzing survey data.
  • Interface with various systems to store and share talent communications.
  • Collaborate with HR and talent leads across Masco Cabinetry’s business operations to align on priorities, approaches, processes, and tools.
  • Lead the facilitation of meetings, focus groups, and other working sessions to help collect data as well as train stakeholders on our talent processes.
  • Partner across functions and other HR disciplines to ensure work is integrated.
  • Conduct research on Talent/OD best practices to support continuous improvement.
  • Work with vendor partners as needed.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in the Talent and/ or OD space.
  • Hands-on development, implementation and administration experience in multiple talent areas such as Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Development, Early Career, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience of exhibiting strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Exhibits the qualities of a continuous learner while also possessing a customer-service orientation.
  • Experience using a research oriented approach to collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
  • Experience in working with various stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in project and program management.
  • Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
  • Experience and comfort with facilitation and presenting.
  • Prefer experience working with HR enabling technology (such as Workday, Cornerstone).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Disciplined self-starter; resourceful and able to prioritize (and re-prioritize) in a fast-paced environment with shifting objectives.
  • Strong business and HR acumen.
  • Skilled in collaborating as part of a team and also working independently to deliver results.
  • Master’s Degree in Business in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or Organizational Development, or related field.


Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline: Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, etc. Preferred education: Master’s Degree in Business in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or Organizational Development, or related field.
