Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a multi-site Quality Manager position at our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI!

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing product quality and service that meets customer expectations.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely plants, sales and marketing leadership team to help determine strategic quality objectives, projects, and initiatives
  • Engage with customers to understand quality requirements and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Coordinates quality activities using appropriate objectives, dashboards and KPI’s to maximize product reliability while minimizing costs.
  • Facilitate and coach collaborative functional groups.
  • Responsible for coordinating work with outside consultants.
  • Assist MC Marketing collect VOC information through customer and/consumer forums.
  • Direct the Masco Cost of Quality metric and related improvement goals.
  • Direct brands’ Warranty and Damage metric and associated continuous improvements.
  • Assist plants identify Internal and Appraisal Cost of Quality initiatives
  • Assist plant implementation of quality improvements.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 4 year college degree (Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing
  • Experience working with and leading cross functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of Quality Management principles and practices
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing, operations and supply chain practices
  • Influence and motivate others, coach and develop, foster teamwork, steps forward to address difficult issues, provides clear direction, and champions change.
  • Effective communication and relationship skills with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Must have analytical, planning and decision-making skills; and demonstrated ability to use data for business decisions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous position(s) in management and growth of profit & loss centers
  • Proficient making presentation to groups
  • Team player receptive to change
  • Travel 25% of time minimum
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills (Six Sigma certification)
