Job Description:

This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be primarily self-directed. Monitor scheduled maintenance work within the facility utilizing Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and report as required. Work directly with the Maintenance Manager & Supervisor, and Leads to ensure work orders and PM’s are complete.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the 7i planning/work order system becoming a resident expert user.
  • Create maintenance work orders as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Close out work orders upon completion on work to properly book labor as needed.
  • Schedule Preventative maintenance work with guidance from supervisor.
  • Help create operational systems that improve daily operations.
  • Participate in Safety and continuous improvement projects.
  • Research information to support daily operations.
  • Assist in setting up new 7i users and support solving issues with the system.
  • Compile data and create graphs to support maintenance tracking on critical projects and metrics.
  • Responsible for tracking plant equipment by taking responsibility for asset inventory process.
  • Responsible for tracking TPM schedule and coordinate all pre-work before the event.
  • Print PM’s require to support daily work delegation.
  • Track preventative Maintenance completion rates.
  • Coordinate third party service technician visits and communicate with machine & parts vendors.
  • Assist in the tool room as needed to build cutters and distribute tooling.
  • Maintain tooling data base.
  • General forklift activities if needed.
  • Maintain work order backlog and report weekly status to management.
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Have a mechanical understanding of machinery.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to safety by following and enforcing safety rules and regulations.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents & drawings.
  • Should demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including MS-Word, and MS-Excel.
  • Must have a good overall work record, including a satisfactory attendance record, and a very high degree of self-motivation. 
  • Have the ability to lift 40lbs
