Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for an Environmental Engineer position at our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI!

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide direction, guidance and support to manufacturing locations pertaining to all Masco Cabinetry environmental requirements, programs, policies and initiatives.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and maintain environmental regulatory compliance at all Masco Cabinetry locations.
  • Manage and implement improvement activities related to Masco Cabinetry’s corporate ISO 14001 program.
  • Manage and maintain environmental and related certifications for Masco Cabinetry’s facilities and products.
  • Facilitate environmental permit applications, modifications and renewals at all locations.
  • Develop and implement common environmental metrics and tracking systems for the plants and provide periodic reports to executive management.
  • Evaluate and implement environmental best management practice alignment at all locations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to all locations for waste and CO2 intensity reduction goals.
  • Develop, coordinate and/or assist in environmental training programs.
  • Provide support for product compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, civil engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements including air emissions and waste disposal requirements
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including overseas travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 1 - 3 years environmental regulations and reporting experience.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 implementation and management for a multi-facility location.
