Job Description

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business analysts to review and understand business requirements, recommend EDI solutions and provide level of effort estimates for extensions or customizations to EDI process.
  • Assist business analysts in troubleshooting technical issues with standard or custom programs and reports.
  • Translate Business Requirements into Technical Specifications.
  • Develop interfaces ensuring code is written according with documented software development processes and standards.
  • Perform systems maintenance to update records, specifications, and operating procedures of partner systems.
  • Provide day to day support including training to business users and customers to resolve issues related to EDI.
  • Maintain EDI account transaction activity.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer science/engineering discipline or business discipline with applied information technology training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new skills and/or applications while multi-tasking to meet deadlines.
  • 5 years experience using ANSI ASC X12 standards, EDIFACT standards, Mercator and Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) --- now known as Sterling Integrator (SI) software.
  • 2 years experience demonstrating excellent interpersonal and written communication skills working with multiple organizational levels and customers with widely disparate skills and capabilities.
  • Excellent, proven organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite modules and ability to work with underlying table schema.

Knowledge and experience working with Oracle eBusiness APIs and Open Interfaces.
