Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for a Design Consultant, In Home position in the Detroit, MI market!

JOB SUMMARY:

Use your passion and creativity to help bring beautiful kitchen designs to life. This position provides flexible hours working from a home base, while giving you the opportunity to work with customers in their home to help bring their vision to life!


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create memorable in-home design services with customer specific solutions and exceptional service.
  • Bring a passion for design and creativity to help bring a consumers vision to life.
  • Utilizing in-home design tools, including measurement, samples and literature to solve a customer’s unique design challenges.
  • Work cross functionally with sales, customer care and Home Depot designers to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Prepare customer for the kitchen remodel journey from imagining the possibilities to material selection to preparing for construction.
  • Work with Home Depot designers to manage high quality leads and close sales.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Interior design or construction industry experience
  • Face-to-face sales experience
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read cabinet and countertop layouts.
  • Excellent project management skills with a deadline orientation and focus.
  • Licensed driver with reliable transportation.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product
  • Experience in kitchen and/or bath design.
