Masco Cabinetry has an immediate opening for an Advisor, Management Operating System in Middlefield, Ohio

Responsible for all aspects of the plant’s Management Operating System to ensure successful attainment of plant goals and objectives that promote continuous improvement.


  • Provide support for all functions related to MOS (OIT, Process Monitors, Daily Schedule Controls etc. and LINCS.
  • Perform Time Studies, Value Stream Maps, Takt times etc. that are used to develop and implement process changes, quality controls and corrective actions to drive cost cutting initiatives.
  • Utilize plant metrics as a guide to identify operations that require changes to improve overall plant performance.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation such that improvements are sustained. Documentation may include, but is not limited to Daily PM sheets, Standard Work Sheets, Start-Up / Shut-Down sheets, 5-S auditing, and Cross Training Charts.
  • The ability to facilitate events including: 5-S, Set-up reduction, Waste Analysis, PDCA, DMAIC, TPM, Standard Work, Error Proofing, Continuous Flow and Pull Systems.
  • Develop further understanding of manufacturing methods by reviewing process flows, production schedules etc.
  • Establish management control systems for cost analysis and optimal budget planning.
  • Develop and implement work flow processes in order to increase productivity.


  • 5 years of Industrial Engineering related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of driving improvements in Safety, Quality and Productivity
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. The successful candidate will be a team builder with solid interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Must be fluent in MS Office applications including spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software and databases.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing systems and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement techniques
  • 0-10% travel will be required.
  • Work closely with operators to learn processes and ways to improve their jobs.
  • Standardize the manufacturing processes and implement metrics.
  • Analyze the KPI of metrics to determine areas of improvement.
  • Identify root cause of problems in the process and develop solutions.
  • Implement corrective action and develop work instructions.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in Kaizen events.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or comparable problem solving certification.
