Job Summary:

Exciting Information Systems summer internship opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer of building products in the kitchen and bath segment.  The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful, professional hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential.  Interns will have the opportunity for meaningful contributions to the host department’s business objectives while experiencing personal professional development. 

This internship will be based out of Ann Arbor, MI, Corporate Headquarters and will go from May 20, 2019 to August 9, 2019. 

The Intern will play a key role in researching new technologies, creating proof of concepts, implementing the projects, and measure/report out the results.  The Intern will have the opportunity to work on one or multiple of the following types of projects:

  • Real-time part tracking including RFID
  • Use of voice technologies for multiple applications
  • Extend mobile capabilities
  • Real-time dash boards and alerts
  • Machine Learning to drive predictive analytics
  • Design and pilot Internet of Things (IoT) use-cases

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Major GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Completed at least two years of college education prior to start of internship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional organizational skills.
  • Drive to research new technologies
  • Analytical and creative problem solving abilities
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships in a cross functional team environment
  • School and/or work experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Familiarity with IoT concepts
  • Leadership experience, including involvement in related student organizations
  • Previous related internship experience
